Covid-19 Disaster: Repercussions for Pakistan

 Covid 19 is the word we are hearing throughout all the day. It is actually a viral disease which infect human respiratory system. And it spreads very rapidly. Scientists first identified a human corona virus in 1965. It caused a common cold. Later that decade, researchers found a group of similar human and animal viruses and named them after their crown-like appearance. Seven corona viruses can infect humans. The one that causes SARS emerged in southern China in 2002 and quickly spread to 28 other countries. More than 8,000 people were infected by July 2003, and 774 died. A small outbreak in 2004 involved only four more cases. This corona virus causes fever, headache, and respiratory problems such as cough and shortness of breath. MERS started in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Almost all of the nearly 2,500 cases have been in people who live in or travel to the Middle East. This corona virus is less contagious than its SARS cousin but more deadly, killing 858 people. It has the same respiratory symptoms but can also cause kidney failure. Now covid 19 cases first appear in china in Wuhan city. The general perception is that it came from a wet market in which living and dead animals are sold.

Now if we talk about the point that either it is man made or natural disaster then we will be in long conversation because till now there are different controversies about this thing. Some nations are saying that it is a bio weapon which is spread by America or china for power propose but the other opinions are that it is just a natural disaster which in spread due to eating of bats.

Now coming toward, the facts of this pandemic global impacts, it shut down the whole world in several days. It destroyed the economies of countries. Poor countries do not have resources to fight against it. by today the 4,771,928 reported case, Deaths: 315,170, Recovered: 1,844,030 round the globe. Every country is badly affected by this disease. Global market loses trillion dollars due to this pandemic. Politician are playing their politics on this issue. There are several philanthropic organisations which are working on providing food and shelter to people in these crises. Food courts, playing courts everything is close to reduce people gatherings, and to save them from this deadly virus.

In Pakistan conditions are also not good. We have above thirty thousand registered case. Lock down is imposed on whole country accept grocery stores and pharmacies. Pakistan is under developing country so to handle this situation is very difficult for us, daily wagers are most affected by this thing. prime minister started several programs to facilitate people but due to industrial closure economy is going down. Pakistan is having aids from different countries and WHO and UN so that we can fight against this deadly disease.

Every industry is affected in this pandemic. Business are closed specially food and clothing businesses. Stock exchange is going down. Offices are closed. WHO also reported that 5 million births are expected in Pakistan due to this lock down so in several months we are going to have more mouths to feed in the same scar resources so this population explosion is also going to create a disastrous circumstance.

In this scenario people are realizing the need of tech industry because due to technology people are still interacting with each other. Students are attending online classes so tech industry shows the world that they are the future of human being. In Pakistan there will be several policies for this purpose because without latest technology it is going to be very difficult to handle disasters in future.

Government of Pakistan is trying its best to save people. We have lock down throughout the country. People gatherings are not allowed. Political and religious gatherings are banned.

After this pandemics world is not going to be same and even some biologist says that may be this virus never disappear so right now the future is unpredictable. But I hope world will come out of this as human always do. They will survive and they will conquer it again.
